What do I need to bring with me on the day of the lesson?

Nothing!

Do you do birthday parties?

Birthdays are very special to us! Our expert mixologists will make your birthday plans unforgettable.

How are you combatting the spread of COVID-19?

Our lessons are 100% COVID-proof. Ask us about what measures are in place.

Do you only do house calls?

In addition to joining you in the comfort of your own home, our mixologists can also join you for an office party, backyard BBQ, or really any private function! 

What if I don’t have the space to host a mixology lesson at my home?

We got you covered! Join our mixology team at their residences, or have a mixology lesson at one of our partner bars around the GTA.

Do you do virtual lessons?

Yes we do! 

What’s inside your cocktail kits?

Our cocktail kits provide almost every single thing you will need to fully participate in a mixology lesson - delivered right to your door. This includes barware, glassware, juices, syrups, bitters, garnish, and anything else you may need. The only thing you will need to procure is any alcoholic ingredients needed to make your choice cocktails.

What if I need to reschedule?

No problem! Contact us and we will make sure to accommodate your schedule changes.

What if I need to cancel?

We completely understand if you aren’t able to make your scheduled mixology lesson. Simply cancel a full 7 days in advance of your lesson in order to receive a full refund. We will have to take a 30% cancellation fee if you decide to cancel within a week of your booking.

What cocktails will we learn during this lesson?

Classic cocktails! This includes favourites such as the Cosmopolitan, Old Fashioned, Negroni, Martini, French 75, Margarita, French Martini, White Russian, the Caesar, and so much more!

How long are the mixology lessons?

In-person mixology lessons are 90 minutes long, and focus on 3 cocktails.
Virtual lesson are a bit shorter - 60 minutes - and focus on 2 cocktails.

How many cocktails will we learn in one 90 minute in-person session?

You will learn how to make 3 classic cocktails in one 90-minute mixology lesson.

What if I only want to learn about 1 or 2 cocktails, or don’t have 90 minutes to spare?

We can organize mixology lessons of any length for you and your party. Get in touch with one of our expert mixologists who will be able to assist you further, here.

What if I don’t want to do a mixology lesson?

Mixology lessons aren’t all we offer - We also specialize in cocktail trivia nights, wine, beer and whiskey tastings, absinthe towers, and cigar pairings.

Can I request a custom cocktail for my lesson?

Yes! Our mixologists will happily render you an elaborate custom cocktail for whatever you’re celebrating. Ask about upgrading to a personalized mixology experience.

Is there a test at the end?

No ;)

What if I’m hungry - can I bring food?

Go for it - just be ready to share with our hungry mixologists. Additionly, water and snacks are provided at every lesson.

What is the status of my order?

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order.

Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm with you the expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order (when the delivery method allows it).

Can I change my order?

We can only change Cocktail Kit orders that have not been processed for shipping yet.

Once your order is under the status "preparing for shipping", "shipping" or "delivered", then we cannot accept any edits to your order.

If you’re order doesn’t include a Cocktail Kit, then feel free to request a change at any time leading up to your lesson. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept almost all methods of payments! You can purchase on our website using a debit or credit card.

We additionnaly offer support for Paypal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

You can chose these payment methods at checkout.

Which currency will I be charged in?

We currently only support the following currencies for charging our customers in their local currencies: USD, CAD.

If your credit or debit card use another currency, then you will be charged in USD, CAD or EUR, depending on the website you are on. Your bank will apply the corresponding  conversation rate of the currency you choose.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We currently ship in the United-States and Canada.

How long does it take to ship my cocktail kit?

Once you've placed your order, it usually takes 24-48 hours to process it for delivery.

Standard shipping time for the countries covered by our delivery partners are presented below. You can find them when choosing for a delivery method before confirming your order:

- United-States: 1-5 days
- Canada: 1-5 days

How can I track my package?

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a confirmation email to track the status of your order.

Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm you the expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order (when the delivery method allows it).

Additionally, you can track the status of your order from your "order history" section on your account page on the website.

Will I pay taxes for international shipping?

Deliveries in the USA will have to pay custom taxes.

Our delivery partner will handle the clearance and will invoice you in local currency for the duties and taxes linked to your order.

Returns

Do you accept returns?

We do accept Cocktail Kit returns in respect to the following conditions:

- The item must have been sold on our online store
- The item shouldn't have been used in any way
- The return or exchange request is made within 28 days of delivery

Proof of purchase will be required to process your return so please hold on to confirmation emails and receipts.

Return shipping must be payed by you.

You cannot return ONLY the Cocktail Kit portion of Cocktail Kit + Virtual Lesson Package. A full refund for the entire package must be requested, and will be processed if you qualify.

Can I exchange an item?

We do accept exchanges and they follow the same conditions as returns.

All additional shipping costs will be payed for by you.

In order to ask for an exchange, please mention that you would like your item to be exchanged with another item to our support team through our contract form here.

Are returns free?

 

Shipping costs for returns and exchanges will be payed for by you.

How long does it take to process a return?

Returns are confirmed within 14 days of receiving the package at our warehouse.

Once your return is accepted, the reimbursement, exchange or credit will be issued within 14 days of our services accepting your return.

Other questions

Do you offer a referral program? How does it work?

We have created a referral program to thank our customers for referring their friends and family.

Simply refer us to a group of 10 or more of your friends and family, and if they book then you’ll be rewarded with a $50 gift card for any Harp & Hawthorne product or service.

Do you have physical stores?

We currently don't have any physical stores. We only offer our services to complete any function you host.

Is there a warranty?

We guarantee any of our Cocktail Kits made by us and sold through our online store to be free of defect. We would gladly accept any return or exchange request resulting from a defective item granted they respect the following conditions:

- The item must have been sold on our online store
- The item shouldn't have been used in any way
- The return or exchange request is made within 28 days of delivery
